Microgreen,the choice of high end restaurants, hotels and Michelin starred chefs, some of the best selling products are Pea Shoot Tendrils, Shiso Red, Red Vein Sorrel and Coriander Cress.
Farm delight’s indoor agriculture project started in 2016. To meet our client’s high standard as to control the color and size of microgreens, specialized LEDs tubes are designed that produces light at specific wavelengths to meet their needs of growing microgreens.
Microgreens are a vegetable green, harvested with scissors after sprouting as shoots less than a month, include a variety of edible immature greens, when the plants are up to 2 inches tall. The stem, cotyledons (or seed leaves) and first set of true leaves are all edible.
A study by USDA in 2014 identified microgreens to contain considerably higher levels of vitamins and carotenoids, about five times greater than their mature plant counterparts.
